General Meeting Minutes
The President of Katy/West Houston Aggie Moms, Penny Nelson, called the meeting to order and welcomed all with a HOWDY!
Secretary, Kathleen Wilburn said the minutes were posted near the entrance. Nancy Williford made the motion to approve the minutes, and Suzy Debayle seconded. The minutes were approved as posted .
Treasures Report-Theresa Ashton reported as of 3/35/2008 that the checking account balance was $5,378.02. The total income for March was $1,123.25. The monthly expenses were $2,698.82, with a balance as of 4/15/08 of $3,802.45. The investment account balance as of 4/15/08 was $23,593.65. Sherri Whitehurst made the motion to approve the minutes and Lori Etchison seconded. The Treasurer’s Report stands approved as read.
Officers and Committees
Vice President at Large/ Love Fund-Nancy Williford said the Love Fund has $77.62
Vice President/Student drawings-Karen Kurt No student drawings tonight.
Parliamentarian-Renee Anchors No report
Care Packages- JoAnn Young & Vicki Welsch Penny thanked JoAnn and Vicki, in their absence, for a job well done and thanked all those that helped . Great Job.
. Membership/Directory- Emma Lipperdt said we have 144 members. 48 Aggie Moms were in attendance at the April meeting. 5 CD copies of the Directory are still available.
Grocery Rebates- Renee Anchors –No Report
Historian-Debbie Szuluk reported that Penny’s book was almost completed.
Hospitality/Door prizes-Lori Etchison Cinco de Mayo was the theme for the evening and Lori had another wonderful table display. Thank you to all that brought goodies.
Programs- Ginger Westbrook Officer Installation. Officers Installed were: President—Sonna Lumpkins, Vice President at Large—Penny Nelson, Vice President—Sherri Whitehurst, Secretary—Debbie Derong, Treasurer—Karen Kurt, Parliamentarian—Kathleen Wilburn
Publications-Kay Pontious Howdy Dinner List Call sheets were distributed to members of the Board .
Scholarship-Debbie Derong said 15 applications were received and 14 were qualified, 4 scholarships will be awarded at the Howdy Social.
Socials- Onaida Reichen. No report.
Friday Movie- Cindy Long Made of Honor is the movie for Friday May 2, 2008 Meet at 9:55am.

Ways and Means-Christina McCaslin, Kathy Keene, and Margaret King Parents Weekend was a great success for Ways and Means. Thanks to all the moms that helped at Boutique. Total figures not available, there are still some outstanding bills. GREAT JOB Ways and Means.

Graduates of August 2007, December 2007 and May 2008 will be honored at the Howdy Social send Penny names of grads, their year, and their major.
Presidents Raffle---tickets on sale until the Howdy Social June 4, 2008.
New Business
Results on vote for 5 organizations to donate $100.00 to: CARPOOL, Aggie Fish Camp, Yell Leaders, Century Singers, Corps of Cadets.
Presidents Speech--Penny shared her report to Federation with us. THANK YOU PENNY!!!!!
