Howdy Aggie Moms!

Wow, can you believe that February is already over!

February found the Katy/West Houston Aggie Moms’ and their spouses or friends having a “wild” time playing Bunco on Friday February 14th!! A big thank you to Kay and Steve Pontious for opening their home to us, and a giant Muchas Gracias to Onaida Reichen for planning this get together with Kay J

We are now up to 142 members. We had two new moms join at the Feb. meeting. Emma Lipperdt had an addendum to the directory at the meeting. If you were unable to get one then, she will have some more at the March meeting.

The Nominating committee gave their recommendations for officers for 2008-2009. They are as follows:

President – Sonna Lumpkins

Vice President at Large – Penny Nelson

Vice President – Sherry Whitehurst – who agreed after the meeting

Secretary – Debbie Derong

Treasurer - Kathleen Wilburn

The Ways and Means will have a sign up sheet for working at boutique during Parents Weekend April 11 – 12 at College Station. It is such a fun weekend. Hopefully you are planning on attending some of the activities the various organizations have for the Parents during this weekend, and if you could help us out for even an hour it would be greatly appreciated J.

We will be starting the President’s Raffle at the March meeting. The tickets will be $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. There will be three different items that will be in the raffle. One will be a signed print from Benjamin Knox, another will a print of Reveille, and the last item will be a basket of different A&M items, such as a light, a fleece blanket, a set of placemats and hot pad holders to match, some A&M mugs, and a car visor CD holder, just to name of few.
