Chicken Pakora---(from Ela Bhaumik)
1 lb. ground chicken 2 slices of bread-soak in water, then squeeze
½ onion –sliced finely and break into small pieces
½ bunch coriander (cilantro) leaves-chop finely 1 egg-well beaten
2 green chilies- sliced finely salt to taste
¾ tsp pepper (powder) oil for deep frying
Mix together all the ingredients in a bowl, except oil. Heat the oil in a frying pan. When the oil is hot, measure a teaspoon of the pakora mixture and deep fry it, (6-8 of the pakoras can be fried together at a time). Serve hot with ketchup.
