Gooey Butter Bars (from the kitchen of Karen Long)

 

Bottom:

1 Yellow Cake Mix

1 egg

1 stick margarine, melted (cooled slightly so it will not cook the egg)

 

Mix well and press into the bottom of a 9x13 pan sprayed with Pam.

 

Topping:

1 (8-oz) cream cheese, softened

1 cup coconut

2 eggs

1 (1-lb) box powdered sugar

 

Mix well and pour on top of the bottom layer.

 

Bake at 350 degreese for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool before cutting into squares.
